SAN ISIDRO SHOPPING CENTER.
POLÍGONO LA GRANADINA.
2005. San Isidro. ALICANTE.

The San Isidro area comprises medium sized specialist retail, including sports equipment, furnishings, fashion, DIY, kitchen and bathroom furniture, toys, electronics, themed restaurants, etc.   It also includes pedestrian areas, green spaces, children’s play areas, nursery, car parks and complementary service and leisure facilities, forming a commercial space that offers variety in attractive surroundings.

Its location near San Isidro, at exit 78 of the A-7 Alicante-Murcia road, is ideal for communications and access.

The singular arrangement of the buildings presents a unified image from the outside.

The complex consists of one- and two-storey buildings that criss-cross each other, forming a network of pedestrian areas, with streets and squares, terraces and porches, gardens and paved areas.

Two external staircases, ramps and elevators communicate the public spaces located on both levels.  Inside, elevators and staircases are strategically placed to communicate the two floors, providing access to stores on both levels.

The project allows for the flexible division of the retail area in a wide range of sizes, providing a large and versatile range of retail spaces.

Car parks and loading bays are located at 8 different points between the buildings, all planted with trees to provide shade and cool down paved areas.

The car parks are linked to the retail area and public spaces via covered pedestrian walks.
