PARCEL 23 “MARBELLA HILL CLUB”
2006. Marbella. MÁLAGA.

SITE.

The land is the result of joining parcels 23-A and 23-B of Parcelling Case 2149/88.  The area is rectangular in shape with one diagonal running north-south and the other, north-east/south-east.

Located on a south-facing hillside with views to the sea, the land presents a gentle slope of approximately 8 metres.

The green areas to the east and west, the peaks of the Sierra Blanca to the north, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south, are the privileged views from this beautifully landscaped parcel.

A variety of tree species blend the parcel with the surrounding greenery, blurring the contours of the parcel and and forming a large garden space.

A natural path runs through the green space along the eastern boundary; the residential street runs along the western boundary.

Marbella Hill Club originated from the partial plan for urbanization of Huerta del Almendral, passed on 24 February 1973 and modified on 9 February 1981.  It is one of the oldest and most prestigious and exclusive of complexes in Marbella, thanks both to its natural characteristics and the respectful placement of its buildings.

OBJECTIVES.

Special care must be taken to locate each villa with a view to maintaining existing trees, making the fewest posible changes.

Placement of buildings must make the best use of orientation and views.

Design light-filled spaces, blurring boundaries and providing a sense of continuity between the interior and exterior.

Preserve maximum privacy of individual properties.

Arrange natural and complementary elements for optimum acoustics and temperature.

Preferential use of environmentally friendly materials and systems.  Design the villas in balance with nature.

Provide a wide range of facilities to complement the exceptional qualities of the property and to enhance the comfort and enjoyment of these idyllic spaces, highlighting the exclusivity of each villa.

DEVELOPMENT.

The land is divided into 8 independent parcels, each housing a single villa.  These are spread out along a gentle slope with views to the sea, surrounded by vegetation and incorporated into the existing gardens against the backdrop of the Sierra Blanca mountains.

The carefully designed proportions of each villa, and the precise arrangement of volumes, projections and pergolas on their respective facades, equip these private gardened spaces for different uses throughout the year.

The sensitive arrangement of plant life together with the sober elegance of white architecture places the villas in harmony with their exuberant natural surroundings, moderating the effects of weather and creating a microclimate that softens occasional extremes.

The architecture is naked of unnecessary topics, based on the essence of popular tradition in which light and shade, interior and exterior, nature and construction, are integrated and prolonged beyond material space.

An architecture in which sensations, colours, aromas, touch, light, temperature, humidity, water, plants and materials form a choral whole that is stimulating and moving
