COMUNE DI LATINA.
Internacional Ideas Contest
2005. Comune di Latina Town Hall.

The idea behind the urban plan and architectural design is aligned with the objectives of the contest, and with the master guidelines and criteria approved by Comune di Latina Town Council for attractive, viable, sustainable and specific proposals to transform the coastal town of Comune di Latina into the pearl of Riviera d’Ulisse, and for its Lido di Latina to become an internationally renowned, prestigious destination and a model of sustainable development and the coexistence of nature and developed tourism on the coast.

Based on these criteria, the proposals presented exceed the traditional development schemes based on streets or boulevards running parallel to the shore.

These proposals ensure the accessibility of the inland area to the coast through a sponge-like, open layout of building complexes, reconciling the needs of vehicle traffic with those of preferential pedestrian usage, generating a spatial web for the pedestrian that ensures the full inter-relationship of the territory.
