RAILWAY STATION ZARAGOZA – DELICIAS.
1999. ZARAGOZA.

Execution of an important work of infrastructure such as the new Delicias station will represent for Zaragoza the creation of an urban installation that will have a large influence on the social and economic fabric of the city. 

Certainly, the impact of the new station, included on the High Speed Train line, is a unique opportunity to promote the existing city and build the city of the future.  

The architectural articulation of the proposal is based on five plastic, functional elements that form the Zaragoza – Delicias station: 

The tower.

An urban reference point, visible from anywhere in the city. 

The canopy.

The element that welcomes the traveller, and a symbol of the station itself.  

The blue box.

A glass tower, this will be a new financial centre in Zaragoza, leveraging on the flow of activity that the new communications hub will generate. 

The red apple.

Representing the leisure, shopping and entertainment area of the station, it will become the heart of local activities. 

The access square.

The square will be the true catalyst of activity, the place where travellers meet with a wide range of urban activities.
