RAILWAY STATION.
2000. LOGROÑO.

The new station in Logroño is an excellent opportunity to create an urban bridgeway and to integrate the areas adjacent to the railway lines, currently divided by this significant urban boundary.   

The plan calls for a double level building to facilitate passenger transit:  in this manner, the main entrance is located on the upper level, next to the bus stop, and the exit and taxi rank are located on the lower level.  

The grand dramatic element is the central space with an ondulating roof that will frame the main visual axis of Avenida de España.  The existing road layout will be improved by the new building. 

The interior of the building is designed to articulate station operations.  The shopping and leisure areas, together with the transparency of the shopping gallery (urban bridgeway) will interconnect to generate a dynamic flow through their different walkways.  The plan for the lower level features two paths, one along the urban bridge, and the second, an eliptical path around the shopping area.
