Ramón Abarrategui graduated as an architect in 1974 in the School of Architecture of Madrid, in the specialities of Construction and Town Planning. Since 1978, he has been a member of the Board of Architects from the National Institute for Quality Construction (Cuerpo de Arquitectos del Instituto Nacional para la Calidad de la Edificación) of the Ministry of Public Works and City Planning. Mr. Abarrategui has also held the post of Technical Construction Manager of RMSA in Logroño between the years 1974 and 1976. From 1975 to 1978, he was Director of the National Institute for Quality Construction in the offices of Palma de Mallorca and Guadalajara.
In 1976, he founded ABARRATEGUI, a multidisciplinary company offering comprehensive services of Architecture and with more than 25 years of experience in the construction of residential complexes, business parks, corporate headquarters, tourist developments, hotel complexes, shopping and leisure areas, office premises for the Civil Service, shops, banks and ambulatories.
In the
course of his professional career, he has won numerous tenders and, besides
his work as an architect, he has taken part in various committees of experts
from the Civil Service, the Official Professional Associations of Architects
as well as private companies. He frequently publishes specialised articles
and gives conferences in various circles as well as in both private and
public institutions.
