From the inception of Abarrategui in 1976, we have considered our task to be that of depicting the interests and demands of current society with both feeling and care. Our creative project is made up of these ingredients and it is driven by a constant search for excellence in design and quality in customer service.

The success of ABARRATEGUI stems from the commitment of an enthusiastic team of renowned professionals made up of project directors, architects and quantity surveyors.

Our team of designers is supported by a department of computer graphics that is totally integrated in the creative process. Artists, designers and modelers work hand in hand with architects and engineers in the creation of sketches, perspectives and volumetric, as well as spatial, studies. Subsequently, plans, elevations, and sections will form the basis for the 3D representations that will be used to evaluate the project in its different phases. CAD work stations and the most advanced software are the tools that allow us to create videos and three-dimensional representations that offer to our customers the unique opportunity of "taking a virtual stroll" through the project and visualising it from different points of view before its construction.

In our projects, we study and define all the aspects regarding the construction, landscape and installation requirements for optimal results. We use advanced illustration techniques which allow us to model and sculpt spaces with light during the first stages of the project. In order to create new possibilities of design, lighting, signage and furniture, we conduct a careful analysis of the light and shadow effects, the shape and color, the texture and the materials, as well as using everyday objects as the point of departure for numerous plans and creative sketches.

We work hand in hand with external advisers whom we integrate in the working group. We engage both advisers suggested by the client, as well as those that we select and recommend ourselves to the client. As architects, the team of ABARRATEGUI coordinates the work of all the advisers involved in the project.

This cooperative process of design involves certain requirements that have been met by using in the studio flexible technologies that can be adapted to the different working environments. Likewise, these technologies allow us to create and implement projects where several sectors are involved.

We share technological standards with the most important studios and corporations. For such reason, we ensure both information compatibility and a smooth integration of customers, users, advisers, collaborating companies and external suppliers all around the world.

Thanks to our network of collaborators and to all the resources available in the Internet, we can manage our teams wherever they are. The communication between our offices and the various working environments is extremely fluid. At any time or place, our professionals working at the construction sites have instant access to all the information they may need from the company such as: plans, sketches, graphics and other digital representations. Using these technologies, we can refresh instantaneously all the documentation coming from the office, the construction site or from the collaborating entities.
